"Anything that is human is mentionable, and anything mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting and less scary. The people we trust with that important talk can help us know that we are not alone." ~Fred Rogers

Welcome! Whether you are in the midst of a life transition, find yourself struggling with depression or anxiety, are having relationship challenges, parenting trials or need assistance addressing and understanding your child’s behaviors, something has sent you on the journey of finding some help and support.
Choosing the right therapist for you or someone you care for can be difficult. Therapy can feel vulnerable and it takes courage to share your story with someone else. It is important you find someone who you can trust, who you feel is competent to address the issues you are facing and someone whose style of therapy fits your personal process.
How I can help:
I have an understanding of human development from early childhood through adulthood that allows me to look at issues both from the here and now of where you are at, but also from a “bottom -up” perspective that can offer insight into how your past patterns have led you to your present.
Somatic psychotherapy is my passion and I use this perspective of the mind body connection to look at and work with whatever my clients bring to explore. This can include the use of guided self awareness and visualization exercises, movement and sound.
I also include other modalities in my work, like expressive art therapy, play therapy, sand tray and of course more traditional talk therapy.
Some of my specialties include, individual depth work, early intervention, parenting and working with adolescents.
In addition to psychotherapy I also offer parent consultation .
My experience has included helping people from preschool to retirement ages with a myriad of challenges from communication issues to trauma. I know that one method of work does not fit all people and this is why I incorporate different styles of counseling into my practice.
I can provide video or phone sessions to clients anywhere in California or Oregon.
